Now we’re going to talk about CLASS SLOGANS.

Class slogans are a funny thing. First, not many classes have one OR I couldn’t find them. I only have twelve, but would love to know more! I’ll accept pictures of senior class t-shirts if you didn’t have a slogan.

Younger students ask “WHY have a class slogan”? Note: they don’t have them! Think of them as the class brand.

They were yelled at pep rallies and are often heard at reunions. Sometimes they were written in yearbooks. They were NOT sanctioned by administration or principals. That’s the fun of them. No permission is necessary!

Their origin is unknown. How they were shared among all classmates in the days before email, text messaging, and social media is a mystery. Of those I have, some are simple. Most are silly. And a couple are at least “PG-rated.”
